Bad Yogi: Erin Motz is back at Princeton Yoga

March 24-25, 2018

Princeton Yoga is excited to welcome back ‘Bad Yogi’ Erin Motz. Erin moved to France 3 years ago, so we are thrilled to having her come back and teach at our center!

Erin is a carnivorous, red wine and French cheese-loving, world traveling yoga instructor based in Nice France. Erin is co-Founder of Bad Yogi & voice of real yogis everywhere and the creator of the Perfect Body Yoga Program which is centered around the belief that the “perfect” body is simply the healthiest version of the body you already have.

You won’t hear much Sanskrit in Erin’s workshops but you’ll probably get plenty of corny jokes, she believes yoga is for everyone and invites all good/bad/new/old yogis to come and practice with her. Teaching yoga is one of her greatest pleasures and her energy and joyfulness is infectious.

“I practice to feed my teaching, but I teach to feed my life.” – Erin Motz

Bad Yogi Masterclass

Saturday, March 24, 2018 – 11:00 am to 12:30 pm – $35

Are you looking for a yoga class that makes you feel normal? Do you want to bond over our mutual weirdnesses, quirks, life experiences, and of course, our love of yoga without the snobbery or pretense? You’re in the right place! We’ll chat a little before class about the Bad Yogi Philosophy and why we should embrace occasionally feeling like the odd one out. Then we’ll dive right into a feel-good class with a surprise challenge pose at the end that YOU, as the class, will get to choose together. Expect to leave feeling empowered & inspired by your practice. This is friendly for all levels and will have modifications offered.

All levels workshop, great for newcomers and experienced yogis.

$35 – Sign up by 2/1/2018 and receive 10% off.

How to Fail With Confidence: Demystifying Hard Poses

Challenge yourself & have fun! In this workshop I’ll show you how to keep your fear in the back seat so you can try (and sometimes fail!) without hesitation. We’ll explore the foundations of challenging poses and the nitty-gritty details of how to execute them safely at every level. Even if you’re a beginner, you’ll learn how to break difficult poses down into manageable pieces so you can start to gradually incorporate them into your practice. This is friendly for all levels. Feel free to come with questions!

All levels workshop.

$45 – Sign up by 2/1/2018 and receive 10% off.

A Bad Yogi Approach to Self Love

Sunday, March 25, 2018 – 11:00 am to 1:00 pm – $45

For those who have a hard time really FEELING all the hyper-positive “self-love” stuff people speak so magically about. Look forward to a feel-good heart and hip opening class to help you let go of the nonsense weighing you down. And speaking of letting go of nonsense, we’ll journal a bit too! Get beyond empty platitudes and “shoulds,” and drill down to exactly how to build self-worth that lasts, both on your mat and off. Transform your perception of self-love, learn how it’s flawed, and redefine it so it becomes something you can actually do! We’ll alternate between yoga, meditation, mindfulness practices, and journaling. Bring your curiosity and something to write with!
All levels workshop.

$45 – Sign up by 2/1/2018 and receive 10% off.

Yoga Teacher’s & Aspiring Yoga Teacher’s Seminar

Sunday, March 25, 2018 – 2:00 to 4:00 pm – $50

Learn how Erin Motz and her husband turned their passion into a thriving business. Get insights how to build your yoga teaching practice to a full time job you love.

Being a yoga teacher isn’t just about teaching the 75-minute class and leaving. It’s scheduling, managing payments (and getting paid when people don’t want to pay you), planning classes, finding continuing education, avoiding burnout, staying inspired, and everything in between. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to find your voice, plan inspiring classes that are authentic to YOU, sequence creatively, and make the jump from part-time yoga teacher to full-time yogipreneur.

Come with all the questions you can think of!

This is for current yoga teachers and soon-to-be teachers alike.

$50 – Sign up by 2/1/2018 and receive 10% off.

Erin Motz in her own words:
I’m the co-Founder of Bad Yogi & voice of real yogis everywhere. I’m also the creator of the Perfect Body Yoga Program which is centered around the belief that the “perfect” body is simply the healthiest version of the body you already have. In my spare time I’m a wine drinker, cheese eater, and not your average yoga teacher; I’ve been teaching yoga for over 12 years, but you won’t hear much Sanskrit, I totally forgive you if you don’t know your asana from your elbow, and I believe that yoga is for everyone, from the kale loving vegan to the prize winning deer hunter. I may be a Bad Yogi, but if I’m being totally honest, teaching yoga has been one of my greatest pleasures; I practice to feed my teaching, but I teach to feed my life.
