Bad Yogi: Erin Motz is back at Princeton Yoga

March 23-24, 2019

We start off our Spring with our favorite ‘Bad Yogi’! Princeton Yoga is excited to welcome back ‘Bad Yogi’ Erin Motz. Erin moved to France 4 years ago, so we are thrilled to having her come back and teach at our center!

Erin is a carnivorous, red wine and French cheese-loving, world traveling yoga instructor based in Nice France. Erin is co-Founder of Bad Yogi & voice of real yogis everywhere and the creator of the Perfect Body Yoga Program which is centered around the belief that the “perfect” body is simply the healthiest version of the body you already have.

You won’t hear much Sanskrit in Erin’s workshops but you’ll probably get plenty of corny jokes, she believes yoga is for everyone and invites all good/bad/new/old yogis to come and practice with her. Teaching yoga is one of her greatest pleasures and her energy and joyfulness is infectious.

“I practice to feed my teaching, but I teach to feed my life.” – Erin Motz

Bad Yogi Masterclass

Saturday, March 23, 2019 – 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm – $35

Bad Yogi is all about encouraging you to embrace who you are and where you are– on your mat and off! You are always exactly where you need to be & you have everything you need to reach your goals. We’ll chat a little before hand about the Bad Yogi philosophy, and then dive right into a fun, creative, total body balancing flow that delivers a little mix of everything. You’ll learn a lot, laugh a lot, and you’ll probably make a few friends while you’re here! Expect to leave feeling confident to be exactly who you’ve always wanted.

This is friendly for all levels and will have modifications offered.

Do this, Not that

Saturday, March 23, 2019 – 3:00 to 5:00 pm – $45

How many times do you do the same poses over and over yet you still don’t feel like you’re getting the most out of them? Do you feel awkward in the same poses you’ve been doing for years? Do you STILL not know how to do Chaturanga properly?! I hear you. We’ll take this workshop to deconstruct the most popular yoga poses and correct the most common misconceptions by taking a magnifying glass to the anatomy behind them. This way you know you’re doing them properly and can get the most out of your practice. You’ll also have a chance to ask the question, “Am I doing this right?!” and get your poses tweaked! After we break it all down, we’ll string everything together for a flow so you can apply what you learned right away.

This is friendly for all levels and will have modifications offered.

The Cure: Functional Yoga for ‘Tight’ Hips

Sunday, March 24, 2019 – 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm – $45

In yoga we hear a lot about fixing “tight” hips, but in this workshop, we’re going to re-think how our hips should feel and take a more balanced approach to hip openers. We’ll work on stabilizing and increasing mobility in all planes of motion, as well as putting special focus on the IT bands, glutes, hamstrings and quads. Our practice will be a focused flow where we’ll spend time breaking down and exploring the poses in a deeper way. If you’re looking to get rid of tension & mild dysfunction in the hips or simply deepen your yoga practice, then this workshop is exactly what you need.

This is friendly for all levels and will have modifications offered.

Yin Yang: A Little Strength & a Little Stretch

Sunday, March 24, 2019 – 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm – $45

It’s tempting to run from the things we’re not great at or the things that are uncomfortable, but this workshop will show you that you’re stronger than you think. You can look forward to a 50/50 strength training sequence for yogis & a feel good stretch sesh after. You’ll learn how to refine your approach to certain poses so that you can build enough strength to eventually add on to your practice. Plus, you’ll have the sweet reward of something nice & restorative in the second half.

As long as you have a little yoga experience under your belt, this is suitable and will have modifications offered.
